Release Day! In Creeps The Night! Giveaway!

IT'S RELEASE DAY!!!!

D.M. Kilgore, In Creeps The Night, Nightfall's Wraith, Mothers Without Borders, Horror Anthology, Books, J.A. Mes Press, Blue Harvest Creative
In Creeps the Night An Anthology of Flash Fiction

I cannot believe it! I feel so "official" today!

I've had things published before... a homeschool article here or there, a poem now and then, a photograph. But this is it, people.

THIS is my first official PUBLISHED piece of fiction.

D.M. Kilgore, In Creeps The Night, Nightfall's Wraith, Mothers Without Borders, Horror Anthology, Books, J.A. Mes Press, Blue Harvest Creative

And I hope you'll love it!

I find it quite fitting that my first official story would be a horror story! I grew up reading King and Koontz. I'm a horror movie junkie. It's a dark and scary world out there people. Watching these movies is a great way to be sure you're the last man (or woman) standing when the zombies come to your door. Horror movies are a great "what not to do" lesson!

D.M. Kilgore, In Creeps The Night, Nightfall's Wraith, Mothers Without Borders, Horror Anthology, Books, J.A. Mes Press, Blue Harvest Creative I submitted a story to J. A. Mes Press when I learned they wanted to publish a creepy anthology for Halloween. The best part was that they wanted all the proceeds to go to a charity to help children! So, I was extremely excited to find out they'd chosen my flash fiction story "Nightfall's Wraith". I love helping others and I cannot think of a more honorable way to have my first fiction piece published than to have in published in a book that is giving to the children of the world.

D.M. Kilgore, In Creeps The Night, Nightfall's Wraith, Mothers Without Borders, Horror Anthology, Books, J.A. Mes Press, Blue Harvest Creative
The Flash Fiction Anthology In Creeps the Night  features 50 authors (including myself- yay!) with 50 creepy tales that will have you sleeping with the lights on! J.A. Mes Press will donate all royalties to Mothers Without Borders. How awesome is that?
I don't know about you, but I feel like celebrating! Let's party! Let's dance! Let's get this book out there in order to raise A LOT of money for Mothers Without Borders!

Help me spread the word about In Creeps The Night, it’s for a good cause! I've read several of the authors featured in the anthology and I promise you will be up all night as you read each spooky tale!

Tell you what, I'm so excited, I think I need to give something away!

Eek! Like you, I grew up reading King and Koontz (and Poe!), and I live and breathe horror. I had no idea this was your first published story. I am so excited for you. Congratulations and enjoy! Isn't it amazing to see your work in print? Double eek! Let's see, I've shared this blog, stalk you on FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and subscribed to your blog. Plus I'll be tweeting a few things as well—Joni Lynn

Since this is the third attempt at a comment it will not be nearly as witty and clever as the first two. Pretend. Okay?

And if the other two comments traverse the metaverse and show up above this one, why then I look as IEP as I am.

Hi Donna! Congratulations on your book! I always knew you were a bloody good writer! (HAR, get it?)

As far as points one through nine, I did them ALL. Really. All of them. You probably will see my posts everywhere, unless some went the way of the first two here.

For task number ten, I only tweeted and hashtagged #InCreepsTheNight because since I am having technical difficulties today, I've had to do everything several times. It's a sadness.

Hey, if you get a chance, swing by my blog the glitter globe DOT com for a chance to win a pair of sparkly sequined slippers. They're in honor of this same book!

I am eternally grateful that you're doing the math. I've already put it on my kindle, and ordered paperbacks, and read about 1/4 of it, which means I've already read Nightfall's Wraith! Any story that begins with "Alone in the woods" owns me. I'd give it ***** stars!

DM Kilgore said...

WOW! Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! =) I've ordered a paperback for now but hope that I can order more and the ebook too soon!

Me, too! It's a great cause! By the way, I'm following your blog, if that counts for anything! And today's promos are: I submitted the link to this post to Digg, and I added this page to my Flipboard (an online magazine app that people use) "Book Love" - I think I'll make it my cover :) Oh, and I put it up on my Scoop.com board as well. :)
